Featuring 36mm stanchions, the same lightweight chassis, a revised crown and arch, and new damper tech, the Fox 36 Float 29in Performance Elite Grip X Fork is our go-to for all-mountain capability. This version of the 36 features Fox's Performance Elite series build and is nearly identical to the Factory series forks, just without the gold Kashima coat on the stanchions. The new Grip X damper offers unparalleled trail and enduro performance with many of the same adjustments as the old Grip2 damper, except for a firm compression setting at the end of the high-speed compression range for enhanced climbing capability. Also, a singular rebound adjustment instead of the dual, high/low adjustment takes over the Grip X damper, giving us a simpler setup. The Grip X is around 100 grams lighter than the old model Grip2 damper, bringing us much of the same capability but with a lighter weight and better climbing ability.
