Ernie Reyes is noted as one of the most influential individuals in martial arts history. Considered a "living legend," Reyes created a path for others to follow. He is responsible for pioneering a string of highly successful schools throughout the world. He is an accomplished author, innovator, and a very successful businessman. Creator of the famed "West Coast Demo Team," it was Reyes that playing a major role in revolutionizing the tournament circuit. The demo team set a new precedent for martial arts competition, demonstrations and performances by adding acrobatic movements, stylistic techniques and breathtaking aerial kicking. Reyes was inducted into the Martial Arts History Museum's Hall of Fame in 2002 and his demo team uniform can be found in the museum.
