The Volkl Yumi 80 Skis are a great option for ladies who are looking for a front side carving ski with loads of energy. With an all-wood core and the 3D Radius Sidecut, this ski is very forgiving and perfect for a skier that doesn't want to work too hard to make a nice turn. While this ski is only 80 millimeters underfoot, it is a surprisingly good floater in a few inches of fresh snow. It's forgiving and very easy to maneuver from one turn to the next. Even though the Yumi 80 is very light, it still has the dampness and great edge hold that Volkl is known for on the hard pack. The glass frame technology really takes these skis to another level of energy and provides plenty of pop. The Yumi 84 also features an elongated rocker profile which really adds to its overall user friendliness and versatility. Not only does this rocker help provide a little bit of float when things get soft, but it allows the ski to pivot very easily for effortless short radius turns. Best suited for lighter and less aggressive skiers, it provides plenty of versatility for not just groomers, but is a great ski for bumps or steeps too.
